There is an exciting year of performances ahead and the launch will be Bathurst residents’ opportunity to get a sneak peak of the line up.
BMEC manager Stephen Champion said there will be a screening featuring a taste of the upcoming shows, followed by a reception.
This will give those who wish to subscribe or become members the opportunity to see what is in store for 2015.
People can pick up a subscription form on the night.
Mr Champion said next year’s season has wonderful dance performances, ranging from classical to contemporary.
There will also be international performers from Europe, Asia and the UK.
Drama inspired by one of Britain’s greatest poets will be on the menu, along with some contemporary Australian drama.
Mr Champion said the people of Bathurst can also anticipate a very special piece of theatre to mark the anniversary the beginning of World War I and Australia’s involvement in it.
“There will also be a few opportunities for local performers to be involved throughout the year,” Mr Champion said.
“That’s something that’s very exciting for us.
“There will also be plenty of workshop opportunities,” he said.
Mr Champion said over the next year patrons can look forward to two world class productions on a Sunday afternoon. This will make them more accessible to the elderly and those who don’t like to go out in the evening.
As expected, there will also be some world class musical performances.
Mr Champion said there is a lot for local audiences to look forward to in 2015.
Not only are the acts world class, but they are so much more affordable than they would be in Sydney or other regional centres. Mr Champion said this is thanks to generous sponsorship by local businesses and a lot of support from council.
