A WOMAN charged with the murder of her three-year-old son will remain in custody until her next court appearance in February 2015.

The matter involving the 40-year-old was heard briefly in Bathurst Local Court on Monday, before magistrate Michael Allen adjourned the matter until February 16.
Bail was not applied for and was formally refused by Mr Allen.
A 45-year-old co-accused man, who is charged with manslaughter and recklessly cause grievous bodily harm, also had his matters adjourned to the same date.
Both were charged by police following investigations by Chifley Local Area Command detectives into the death of the boy on August 6.
Police and paramedics were called to a house in Cunynghame Street, Oberon on August 3, where they found the toddler unconscious and not breathing.
Officer performed CPR before he was airlifted to Westmead Children’s Hospital, but he died three days later.
