The 25-year-old was one of two women escorted from a protest rally in Roma Street Parklands to the Queensland Police headquarters just before midday.

She is expected to be the first person to face the special magistrates court set up for the G20.

The pair's belongings were laid out on the floor of the police headquarter's lobby and meticulously examined and photographed.

A rubber gas mask could be clearly seen alongside a medical kit, towel, a phone, cables and other possessions.

A three metre long red-and-black banner, featuring "Brisbane Solidarity Network" on one side and "Anti-Fascist Action" on the other, was taken away.

Police also allegedly seized a leatherman knife, a multi-purpose device similar to a Swiss Army Knife.

As the woman was led to a waiting police van, she was asked what she thought of her predicament.

"It's ridiculous, I'm being charged for a multi-tool," she said.

She exclaimed "It's ridiculous" a second time as the doors of the van closed after her.

The 20-year-old woman was let go without charge, but was excluded from the declared area in the centre of Brisbane city.

"I'm just going to the border…of wherever I'm supposed to be," she said when quizzed by media as she walked up Roma Street away from the city.

The 25-year-old woman will also be added to the exclusion list.
