NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) firefighters are currently battling a number of fires across the Central West, with smoke from these being blown across Bathurst.
A number of watch and act alerts were issued by the NSW RFS on Sunday for fires across the region including a 2500 hectare blaze at Peak Hill - Tullamore Road, Tullamore, north-west of Parkes.
There was also a 500 hectare grass fire at Girral-Lake Cargelligo Road, Ungarie and another 200 hectare out-of-control grass fire at Weethalle, near West Wyalong.
Chifley Zone RFS team manager Tom Shirt has asked people who see any unattended fires burning to call triple-0.
A total fire ban remains in place for Bathurst and the Central Ranges until midnight on Sunday.
