The cafe will be offering a taste of the US at its Americana Night – but, according to Wholefood Kitchen employee Sophie Jones, food won’t be the sole focus.
“We’re having the Americana Night to showcase some local bands,” she said.
“It is also to showcase some great local produce used in an Americana way.”
A long banquet table will be set up in the alleyway in front of the Wholefood Kitchen and decorated to bring the theme to life.
Big portions of American favourites – including mac and cheese, ribs, coleslaw, and cornbread – will be laid out on the table, and guests will be able to take as much or as little as they like.
“Everything that we’re making has been made from scratch by Nicki,” Ms Jones said.
As everyone eats, bands Smith & Jones (Bathurst), The Honey Drippin’ Mud Skippers (Orange), and The Sweet Jelly Rolls (Sydney) will provide live entertainment with a hint of Southern charm.
Those wanting to attend should make a booking early as seating is limited to just 45 people. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from the Wholefood Kitchen by visiting or phoning 6332 9327.
