Scots will receive $200,000 towards the construction of a new learning space and student amenities.
Calare MP John Cobb announced the funding today, along with $350,000 for the Parkes Christian School to help fund construction of three general learning areas, a science lab and storage areas.
He said the grants were a great investment in the future of students at these schools.
"These funds will ensure students at both Parkes Christian School and The Scots School have the infrastructure necessary to help them get the most out of their time at school," Mr Cobb said.
"While buildings alone do not make a school, students in both Parkes and Bathurst will benefit when these enhanced facilities are complete."
The Scots School is a co-educational day and boarding school for students from pre-kindergarten to Year 12.
It stands on a 50-hecatre site on the O'Connell Road and boasts facilities including a 25-metre indoor heated swimming pool, a school farm, four large ovals, the John Hunter Sports Barn including fully equipped gym and two indoor courts, and a modern Design and Technology Centre.
The CGP provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure where they otherwise may not have access to sufficient resources.
"The Australian Government is committed to improving the quality of our school education and ensuring students are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world," Senator Scott Ryan said.
"The Government believes in an education system that puts the students first. A quality education gives young people the opportunity to achieve personal success and contribute to our nation."
