Mrs Goodwin shot to fame in July 2009 after winning the first series of MasterChef Australia.
She was brought to Bathurst by House, where she was based for her two-hour visit.
Fans gathered to meet her and get copies of her book autographed.
“I’ve been here a few times. Last time I was at House I was cooking pancakes,” Mrs Goodwin laughed.
“But I love being here and meeting people and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to come back to House at Bathurst.”
While it’s been seven years since Mrs Goodwin won her title, there were no signs of her celebrity fading as hundreds of fans took the opportunity to meet her.
Mrs Goodwin said she still watches MasterChef, and loves getting inspiration from the contestants on the show.
“And I love being on my couch watching it at home and not in the kitchen,” she laughed.
House manager Linda Fisher said the response to the visit had been fantastic.
“Julie is just beautiful and people have loved meeting her,” she said.
Ms Fisher said it was also good to see so many people popping back into the store.
“The corporate store opened a little over two weeks ago, and we’ve had a few people going past and saying ‘you’ve reopened’, so it’s good to let people know we’re here,” she said.
As part of her visit to Bathurst, Mrs Goodwin also held a cupcake decorating session.
