CWFS owner Chris Stott said the local flying school offers test flights for potential buyers from all over Australia by working in conjunction with Melbourne-based Anderson Aviation.
Mr Stott said CWFS already operates the most popular aircraft manufactured by BRM, the Bristell, and has ordered a second Bristell for use in training the school’s students.
In announcing the landmark deal, Mr Stott confirmed the relationship was supported by the Czech Republic head of trade and investment Vojtech Helikar, who visited Bathurst recently to assist with commercial arrangements.
“We hosted a visit by Mr Helikar and of course we took him for a fly in our new Bristell aircraft, so he could enjoy a flight in one of his homeland products over the picturesque Bathurst district,” Mr Stott said.
He added that CWFS already had a fleet of Australian built Jabiru and American Cessna aircraft, but the BRM product range allows students and licensed pilots to experience a premium, high performance aircraft.
“It’s a bit like giving our customers a choice between a Holden Commodore and a BMW,” Mr Stott said. “Many of our students and pilots aspire to flying a sporty aircraft once they complete their basic training.”
