Police and other rescue services attended the single vehicle accident just before 7.20am.
Inspector Colin Cracknell, duty officer with Chifley Local Area Command, said police got the call at 7.18am saying a logging truck had overturned on the O’Connell Road, near the intersection of Mayfield Road.
Inspector Cracknell said it appeared the driver of the truck had lost control of the vehicle on a bend, causing the trailer to roll over and spill a load of logs.
There was no other traffic on the road at the time.
Part of O’Connell Road was closed as officers worked to clear the site.
Inspector Cracknell said the road was also closed for a period yesterday afternoon as a crane had to be called in to remove the truck from the crash site.
Meanwhile, crash investigators have yet to positively identify a man killed in a single vehicle accident on Shooters Hill Road on Sunday morning.
Police and rescue workers were called to the crash just after 8.30am following reports a car had crashed into a tree 32km from Oberon.
On arrival, police located the vehicle, a Holden Rodeo ute, alight on the side of the road.
The single occupant of the vehicle, a man, died at the scene.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
