Name: Jennifer Short.
How many times have you done this: For the last 15 years.
How did you get involved in politics: I studied politics at the University of New England in 1972.
What's the best thing about election day: You get to meet new people and members of the public and be with your comrades handing out flyers.
What's your funniest election day experience: When my husband and I were at a little booth outside Young and it was a National party stronghold and we didn't bring any lunch and the lovely National party group shared their lunch with us.
What do think the main issue is for the seat of Bathurst this election: Transport and putting in more highways. Short term we should look at giving different means of public transport and encouraging people to use it.
