The committee behind the Balloon Challenge have dedicated this year's launch to memory of the 26-year-old school teacher who lost her life in Leeton this week.
Hot air balloons teamed with yellow streamers will rise into the sky at 6.30am while friends and supporters release bright yellow balloons as a tribute her life.
Canowindra Trading Post's Gleniss Lawrence's son Ronnie was to be the best man at Aaron and Stephanie's wedding tomorrow.
She said Sunday morning will be a chance for people to come together and support one another.
"When there's a loss, people like to be together and it's a way of showing our love and respect for Stephanie who was admired by young people and old people and the whole community in Canowindra," Mrs Lawrence said.
"I think small communities particularly support each other and the Scott family have been a big part of our community. Bob [Stephanie's father] taught so many of the children in that age bracket, he taught my children. three of my children were in the same class as three of the Scott children so [her death] has had a massive impact on [Canowindra]."
As balloons pop up slowly around town, Mrs Lawrence said the town is still reeling from the news of Miss Scott's death, just days shy of what was to be the most wonderful day of her life.
"There's been a lot of tears but people are really supporting each other, a cuddle, a kiss here, and putting it in words as best they can," Mrs Lawrence said.
"I think everyone who knew Stephanie [thought] she was a wonderful, very, very kind woman that touched a lot of people. It's a time for people to be together supporting each other."
The balloon launch will take place at at Tom Clyburn Oval.
