The public forum at Charles Sturt University from 4pm-5pm entitled The Central West and Regional Infrastructure: The Next 200 Years is a chance for residents to join in discussions with decision makers about future developments that directly affect them.
Other speakers will include CENTROC infrastructure group chairman Kent Boyd, NSW Planning and Infrastructure regional director Ashley Albury and Regional Development Australia Central West manager Peter McMillan.
The forum will wrap up two days of events hosted by the Central Western Group of the Institution of Surveyors NSW as part of Bathurst's bicentenary celebrations.
The event will be opened by NSW surveyor general Des Mooney, Institute of Surveyors NSW chairman Phil Hayward, and Councillor Monica Morse.
Events include seminars on the history of Bathurst, discussions on the impact of surveyors on the past, present, and future of the Central West, and a flag staff unveiling ceremony to celebrate the bicentenary.
