Miller, who is not available for this weekend's clash with the Bathurst Bulldogs, said the victory against Orange City was the "icing on the cake" to a perfect start to the season but he's ensuring his side aren't getting ahead themselves early in the competition.
"Obviously very pleased [after last weekend], personally I've played for the Eagles for four years and that was the first time we've beat Orange City so it was very satisfying and a lot of the old boys really enjoyed it as well which was great for the club," captain Chris Miller said.
"We've acknowledged that we won against City but we also acknowledge there is a long way to go. The win last weekend was really just the icing on the cake to a great beginning to the season."
Tomorrow, the undefeated Eagles host the third placed Bathurst Bulldogs who have only been beaten once this season, by the Orange Emus.
Only two competition points behind Cowra, Miller played down the importance of the match and said the Bulldogs won't be putting much thought into playing the competition leaders.

"It would be nice to keep the winning run going but realistically it might not happen. If we have a loss now it's not that crucial, as long we're playing to the best of our ability," Miller said.
"That won't worry them [Cowra being unbeaten], they'll be confident, they beat us twice last season so they'll definitely be confident, just like we are.
"They're a solid team, they'll match us in the forwards and they got a lot of pace in the backs, a few guys who can step and really get them going," he said.
Miller identified the Bulldog's Izaac Breen as a player who can create plenty of momentum for his side and also said if Scott Johnson returns from injury he'll give Bathurst a massive boost.
"[Izaac] Breen is big and strong and when he gets running forward he usually gets to the advantage line. We'll look to legs tackle him and keep him quiet which should stop any momentum they create," Miller said.
"I'm not sure, but I think Scott Johnson might be back after injury. If he is, he's a vital addition to their outside backs."
While Miller will miss the match, so to might fellow forward Adam Mieklejohn who is a 50 per cent chance after suffering an ankle injury last weekend.
"We have a range of options in the forwards but it's yet to be confirmed," Miller said of who will be his replacement.
The Cowra Eagles host the Bathurst Bulldogs at the Cowra Rugby Ground at 3.15pm tomorrow.
