It gets underway at 9am and runs until 3pm.
Organised by Chifley local area command (LAC) the event celebrates 100 years of women in policing and is part of other celebrations happening across the state.
To help mark this special occasion, a custom-made NSW Police baton has been making its way around the state during the last six months and is due to arrive in Bathurst on Sunday.
Chifley LAC duty officer Acting Inspector Leanne Walsh said the event would showcase all emergency services available within the region including NSW Police Force, Fire and Rescue NSW, Ambulance NSW, State Emergency Service, NSW Rural Fire Service and Volunteer Rescue Association.
There will be a number of interactive displays, rolling demonstrations, recruitment information for all agencies, and a children’s entertainment area with a jumping castle, face painting and interactive video games.
Acting Inspector Walsh said the local celebrations would showcase the history and achievements of women in the force.
“Today the NSW Police Force offers women extensive opportunities, interesting experiences and interaction with people from all walks of life, while the organisation is rewarded with the important skills and experience they bring to the job,” she said.
“I am excited to have the emergency services in our area involved in these celebrations.
“Their participation shows the support and respect that all emergency services have for each other.”
Entry is free and the day will feature officers from a range of policing units including general duties, crash investigation, Police Rescue Squad, criminal investigations, rural crime investigations, PCYC, highway patrol, bicycle unit, PoliceLink, forensic services, crime management, the mounted unit and dog unit.
