CSU head of campus Professor Jo-Anne Reid said the Bathurst Winter Feast created an opportunity for university staff and the community to interact on a casual level and to promote Charles Sturt University wines and CSU academic activity in the wine/viticulture areas.
The dinner will be held at Rafters on the Bathurst campus on Friday, June 19, starting at 6pm.
“The Winter Feast was first held in 2013 and has been growing in popularity each year,” Professor Reid said.
“The CSU Winery has a range of original and regionally important wines and the dinner is also an opportunity to highlight the region’s food.
“These wines sell well in other states and we are looking to promote local interest in them by allowing people to see the variety of fine wines that we produce.”
The CSU catering team has designed a special degustation menu matched to a large range of CSU wines, including the 2010 Reserve Sparkling, which was awarded the trophy for the best sparkling wine at the 2015 Sydney Royal Wine Show, and a selection of museum wines.
The winery team will welcome guests, host the evening and introduce the wines.
Tickets are $90 each and bookings can be made on 6933 2435 or by emailing csuwinery@csu.edu.au. Numbers are strictly limited.
