The Small Biz Bus arrived in Bathurst yesterday for a two-day visit.
Small business advisor Russell Meadley is one of two experts travelling on the bus and he hopes owners will drop in to take advantage of the service.
“We’ve got the bus here to make it a little bit easier for people who didn’t have the time to visit us in the office and ask about their small business,” he said.
Two clients arrived within the first half hour of operation yesterday to speak to the experts.
Bathurst Observatory Research Facility owner Ray Pickard was one of those who came bright and early with a range of questions on his mind about everything from small business grants to promoting the city as an educational destination.
He said the service was vital for business owners who can sometimes be unaware of what steps to take to improve their business.
“It is really hard for small business to know who to see and where to go, so services like this that can help are really valuable,” Mr Pickard said.
Anyone interested in speaking to the experts can stop by at the Small Biz Bus in front of the Court House today between 8am and 1pm.
Appointments can be made to secure a spot by calling 1300 134 359 or visiting www.clikclik.com.au/smallbizbus, however, this is not essential.
“If people see it they can just walk in and ask for advice,” Mr Meadley said.
Local business experts answer a range of questions dealing with finances, staffing, expansion plans, starting a business, dealing with other businesses or government, marketing or making the most of opportunities online.
