Troy Davidson, 36, of Carlingford Street, in Bathurst appeared before magistrate Michael Allen in Bathurst Local Court on Monday, June 1, charged with carrying a cutting implement.
Police facts tendered to the court told how on October 22 last year, police were patrolling the Kelso area when they saw Davidson walking into Bonnor Street and then on into Bannerman Crescent.
Police then did a background check on Davidson and found he was wanted in relation to an outstanding warrant in relation to driving a motor vehicle during a disqualification period.
He was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station.
While in custody he was asked by the arresting officers if he had anything on him that he shouldn’t have.
He told police he had a knife down the front of his pants.
Police then lifted Davidson’s shirt and found a cut throat razor protruding out the front of his pants.
Mr Allen convicted Davidson, imprisoning him for a period of two months, from June 1, 2015 to July 31, 2015.
He also ordered the weapon be forfeited.
