Rachael Alison Edwards was driving along Moulder Street on November 23 last year in a blue Suzuki Swift when police noticed the vehicle swerving in and out of its lane.
According to police facts, Edwards turned right onto Hill Street, narrowly missing the eastern kerb and swerved a second time before police were able to pull her over near the intersection of National Avenue about 5.30pm.
A roadside breath test returned a positive reading and a further test at Orange Police Station returned a reading of 0.219.
She was then charged with high range PCA.
It was Edwards’ second high-range offence. The 42-year-old was disqualified from driving in 2007 for three years.
Edwards told police she had consumed three large glasses of wine between 11am and 5pm and later submitted she had been driving in order to purchase pet food.
She did not attend court on Monday and the magistrate, Terry Lucas issued the fine and disqualification.
Mr Lucas also issued a $1000 fine for malicious damage after Edwards doused several items of her housemate’s clothing in alcohol and set them alight on October 12 last year.
