The Kelso store officially opened yesterday afternoon with all hands on deck to meet the demand for their unique range.

General operations manager Natalie Dalbo said despite only being open for a few hours they were already seeing a lot of traffic through the doors.

“There has been quite a lot of interest in Krispy Kreme and $1 coffee,” she said.

“We certainly hope to see things increase over the next couple of days.”

The 7-Eleven store has four franchisees from Sydney helping it to run smoothly, with 12 employees in total.

“They are very experienced franchisees,” Ms Dalbo said. 

Residents have been anticipating the opening of the store after Bathurst Regional Council approved the development application on February 4 this year.

Only minor landscaping works remain to be completed. 

Ms Dalbo said building in Kelso was part of the company’s desire to expand into regional areas. 

“We’ve been interested in expanding into regional areas for the last couple of years,” she said. 

The new service station will be open 24-hours a day, offering a range of products including Krispy Kreme donuts, ice cream, milk, magazines, toiletries and fresh sandwiches. 

Their fuel varieties are special e10, special unleaded, extra 95 and special diesel. 

“7-Eleven is the leader in convenience,” Ms Dalbo said.

“We offer a consistent range throughout our 611 stores.”

7-Eleven Kelso is located on the corner of the Great Western Highway and Boyd Street.
