Kerry Theresa Hunter, 64, of Windemere Road, Bathurst appeared before magistrate Michael Allen on June 15 to answer a charge of low range PCA.
The court heard that at around 6.45pm on May 11, this year Hunter was driving down Lambert Street when she passed a marked police vehicle performing stationary speed enforcement duties.
The officer undertaking the enforcement picked up Hunter’s car travelling at 70 kilometres an hour in a 50km/h zone.
Police pulled Hunter over on the corner of the Mitchell Highway.
While police were speaking to her they noticed the smell of liquor on her breath, and that she was unsteady on her feet.
When police asked if she had consumed any alcohol she said to them “I’ve had a few”.
A roadside breath test produced a positive result, and Hunter was taken back to Bathurst Police Station for a breath analysis, recording a reading of 0.063.
Mr Allen dealt with the matter by way of a Section 10 (1) (b) Conditional Discharge, placing Hunter on a Section 10 good behaviour bond for 12 months.
