The dedicated workplace is among 18 local businesses decorating storefront windows for the Illuminate Bathurst Winter Festival.
The nine-day festival will kick off tomorrow, featuring nightly digital projections in the city’s CBD, as well as a street fair tomorrow from 4-9pm.
Moodie’s Pharmacy retail manager Tamara Montague-Weston said it was a lot of fun for the staff to get involved in the window decorating.
“It’s great for the spirit of Bathurst and to be part of the community,” she said.
Mrs Montague-Weston said they plan to add fairy lights to finish off their window display.
Bathurst mayor Gary Rush announced the initiative last month to encourage businesses to get into the festival spirit.
“Businesses are encouraged to take inspiration from the Illuminate Bathurst Winter Festival and light up their store windows,” he urged them at the launch.
“Be as creative as you like and join in the festivities.”
A number of Bathurst businesses have gone to great lengths to decorate their stores in the winter wonderland theme.
Those registered are now in the running to win their choice of one $500 Bathurst Buy Local gift card or two $250 Bathurst Buy Local gift cards.
Businesses need to have their displays finished and available for people to view by tomorrow.
These displays must not be pulled down, if the business is to remain eligible for a prize, until Monday, July 13.
Registrations close at 4pm today for businesses wanting to get involved.
Businesses can register by calling the Bathurst200 Pop Up shop on 6333 6200 or by emailing events@bathurst.nsw.gov.au with the business name, contact number and address.
