Presented by Local Stages, SnapShorts comprises nine local works that have been developed by mentored writers and directors from the region.
It opens at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre before travelling to Mudgee and Dubbo.
Creative producer Kylie Shead said SnapShorts was an exciting and ambitious project.
“We have nearly 50 company members spread across the Central West,” Ms Shead said.
“[Yesterday’s] dress rehearsal was the first time we saw the whole show come together.
“The Mudgee and Dubbo company members arrived on Thursday for their technical rehearsals and I couldn’t wait for them to be here and for them to meet each other.”
Tickets for today’s performance are available from www.bmec.com.au or 6333 6161.
The nine local plays are Killing Time by Jodi Cramond (Dubbo), Stevie and the Baby written by Nina Oyama, Cafe Valentine by Alison Charters (Bathurst), Edmund Boot by Joshua Haywood (Mudgee), Storm Shelter by Jill Baggett (Mudgee), Shit Happens by Lee Robinson (Dubbo), Kandy by Kellie Jennar (Dubbo), Shifting The Blame by Jamie McGraw (Dubbo) and the monologue The Secret Life of Thomas Sugg by Andy Carolan (Dubbo).
