WHAT: Relive the grand old days of steam aboard the Great Western Tour this August.
Settle back in a 1930s heritage carriage and enjoy the sights and sounds of historic steam locomotive '3642' as it huffs and puffs through the western countryside.
Join one of the many weekday trips taking place through Western NSW, or come along to Dubbo or Bathurst on one of two big weekends for a shorter steam train ride.
Tickets $30 adults, $20 senior, $10 child.
Departure times 9am, 11.25am and 3pm.

WHAT: Professor Buttons supports RSPCA.
On Saturday 22nd of August Stewart Street Vet's will be filled with more than just local pets, on offer will be some very tasty treats for the owners as well.
Professor Buttons, Bathurst's celebrity cat will be hosting this year's RSPCA Cup Cake day. The day will also include an openning as well.
Kate Ireland at Stewart Street Vet's tells us, "We are very pleased to be opening our new consult room too."
Buttons assures his fans that there will be his signature Cupcake available!

WHAT: Third Bathurst (All Saints Cathedral) scout Group Annual Thanksgiving Service.
The Third Bathurst Scout Group will be having their Annual Thanksgiving Service at the All Saints Cathedral.
This is an event marking the anniversary of the formation of the Scout Group on 19th August 1932, by Canon Edward John Davidson.
Thanksgiving Service is open to all past and present youth members, leaders, families, relatives and friends of scouts in general, and Third Bathurst Scout Group specifically.

Audiences will hear from diverse voices in the Bathurst community, which lead us to explore the depths of this ground breaking document of our times.
Each session will include reflection and interaction as we consider the challenges and respond by taking action for Our Common Home. $10 per person, per session.
