More than 25 cars left Mudgee on Sunday for the event which raises funds and awareness for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the families who use the service.
This year’s trek, the Fossickers Drive, attracted 80 participants.
They stopped at six locations along the 2800 kilometre, seven-day journey to Bathurst.
After leaving Mudgee, participants travelled to Temora, Swan Hill, Bendigo, Beechworth and Yass before they arrive in Bathurst to do a lap of Mount Panorama.
Event media officer Michelle McDonald said it has been a few years since the Trek had stopped in Bathurst, but they were looking forward to finishing up at such an iconic location.
The cars are expected to arrive in Bathurst at 4pm on Saturday, and residents are invited to come by to see them all.
“What we normally try to do is all group up together to come into town together,” Ms McDonald said. “We will line up at Mount Panorama and drive down together.”
Following the end of the trek, participants will celebrate their journey with a private function and awards presentation at Pit Complex.
To support the Starlight Children’s Foundation visit Trek 4 Kidz online to make a donation.
“To see the impact Starlight’s work has on sick children, teenagers and their families, we know how worthwhile the trek is – that’s what keeps us coming back each year,” Ms McDonald said.
