Bathurst Regional Council has released its program of off-track events for Race Week 2015, and the gala ball on Friday, October 9 is the standout event.
All tickets have been sold for the ball, which will be held in a marquee in Russell Street, showcasing regionally sourced food, wine and entertainment.
Motorsport legends Greg Murphy and Garry Rogers will relive some of their finest moments on Mount Panorama as part of the National Motor Racing Museum’s Legen-dary Moments Dinner on Thursday, October 9.
The $70-a-head dinner will be held at Rydges Mount Panorama.
Tickets are now available through bmec.com .au or by calling 6333 6161.
Also returning this year is the B Rock Super Wednesday in Kings Parade from 11.30am-2pm on Wednesday, October 7.
Super Wednesday kicks off with the Transporter Parade up William Street and also gives young race fans the chance to meet the drivers at a special autograph signing session.
There will be displays, free face-painting for the kids, two jumping castles and a sausage sizzle, along with a presentation to 2014 Great Race winners Chaz Mostert and Paul Morris.
And the traditional Saturday Street Fair will double this year as the opening night of the third instalment of the region’s bicentenary Illuminate Bathurst festivals.
The street fair will run from noon to 8pm in Kings Parade, featuring activities for the kids during the day and the launch of Illuminate Bathurst – a series of digital projections transforming the city buildings with vibrant lights, colours and music – at sunset.
A colouring-in competition and window display competition will also run in conjunction with the off-track program.
