ALL Saints’ College Spring Fair was scheduled to open at 10am yesterday, but that didn’t stop hundreds of people arriving early, with queues forming an hour before the gates opened.

Spectacular weather and a host of new and familiar rides drew families from all over the city and further afield to one of the school’s main fundraising events for the year.
Head of All Saints’ College Peter Miller said planning for the event began 11 months ago, almost immediately after last year’s event.
He said organisers were on site from 7am setting up for the day, and by 9am people were flowing through the front gates.
“We weren’t meant to start until 10, but the beautiful weather got people out nice and early,” he said.
Dr Miller congratulated fair coordinator Rosie Bayliss on her excellent work bringing the event together.
He said this year’s event was a mixture of new and traditional attractions.
“We like to mix it up a bit, but keep a strong core at the same time,” he said.
He said one of the reasons the fair was so successful was that it belonged to the community.
“We have a strong community focus; we had stalls with the SES, WIRES and the Royal Australian Navy,” he said.
“We really try to make it a Bathurst event, it’s far more then just the All Saints’ College community.”
Among the thousands at yesterday’s fair were All Saints’ students Natalia Burgess and Genevieve King. Both girls said they thoroughly enjoyed the fair.
“It’s been really fun; the best ride was the Super Trooper, I went on that twice,” Natalia said.
Other highlights of the day included spectacular show jumping and guided tours of the College.
