The digital display on the city’s heritage building will feature a mix of motorsport themes and hopes for the future.
In a culmination of the city’s bicentenary celebrations, the show will run each night from dusk until Sunday, October 18.
Different projections will be conducted at Bathurst Court House, the old TAFE building on William Street, the Bathurst War Memorial Carillon, and in Ribbon Gang and Pedrottas lanes.
While Bathurst Court House will feature motor sport images, wander down to Pedrottas Lane opposite the old TAFE building on William Street for messages from some of the city’s youngest citizens.
Esem Productions, which has put together the show, filmed Bathurst Youth Council members sharing their thoughts.
“It features a number of members of the Youth Council who were filmed writing and drawing their hopes for the future,” a council spokesperson said.
Youth mayor Laura Van Uum said members wrote down what they hoped the future would hold for them and the city.
“They were all based around a more well-educated, equal society that promotes inclusion, harmony and extraordinary community spirit,” she said.
The Saturday Street Fair, to be held in Kings Parade, features a silent disco, face painting, jumping castle, show rides and the Big Air School BMX will be among the activities on offer.
A range of food stalls will offer everything from barbecue to pizza, Mexican, salads and chip on a stick to icecream and candy.
Market stalls will be grouped in a marquee on Russell Street and offer a wide variety of items.
The fair will run from noon until 8pm.
