Between desperate grasps of the window frame the woman can be heard screaming "Aide im enceinte!" ("Help, I'm pregnant!") while volleys of gunfire crack down the Passage of Saint Pierre Amelot. 

As she hangs on between the second and third floors, dead bodies are strewn out on the street beneath her, while the wounded pull themselves down the alleyway and others attempt to drag loved ones to safety.

The screams could have come from another victim of the atrocity, but she was closest to the camera at the time.

Although the woman was pulled up to safety, but not out of danger, it remains unclear what happened to her. The ordeal was captured on camera by Le Monde journalist Daniel Psenny from his apartment window in the 11th Arrondissement.

"I live on the second floor, and my apartment overlooks the emergency exits from Bataclan," Psenny told Le Monde. 

"Everyone was running from all sides, I saw guys on the floor, blood ... I understood that there was something serious ... Everyone flowed back to the Rue Amelot and Boulevard Voltaire. A woman was clinging to the Bataclan window on the second floor. I thought of the images of September 11," he said. 

In the footage, a man can also be heard frantically calling for "Oscar" as the confusion of the carnage engulfed the alleyway. 

Australian expat John Leader was separated from his 12-year-old son Oscar as they made their escape from the theatre where 89 people were murdered on Friday. 

The pair were torn apart during the chaos after a gunman took aim at the hundreds of revellers in the concert hall. 

"He was taking aim. He was not spraying. It was clinical. He was aiming: aim, fire, aim, fire, aim, fire," Mr Leader told London's Daily Telegraph.  

After hiding next to the mixing desk, the pair used a lull in the shooting to move towards the exit stairs. 

"To my right I saw people running and saw that someone had opened an exit door. I grabbed Oscar and said  'Let's go!' Then we saw a lake of blood and bodies lying everywhere."

But when Mr Leader emerged from the concert hall, he lost track of Oscar. 

"I saw a crowd of people about 50 metres away, running. I thought he was with them. I screamed 'Oscar' and was expecting to see him turn around, but no.

"I went back to the exit and up the stairs. But by now there were bodies on the stairs, I think maybe of people who had been shot and had dragged themselves towards the exit. I couldn't see Oscar."

Fortunately, Mr Leader found his son nearby, without his wallet and his shoes, but physically unhurt.
