Bathurst boy Matt Boylan-Smith tore up the stage with a sensational performance at Forbes' Vanfest last Saturday and he can’t wait to come back.
“It was great, I loved it!” he said.
“It was hot but the crowd were great and it was fantastic to be able to play for so many central west locals, including friends.
“I hope to come back again soon.”
Boylan-Smith was a crowd favourite during the afternoon session with his chunky instrumentals, delicious originals and classic covers.
By the end of the five-star performance there was no doubt we were looking at a new star in the making, yet his feet remain firmly on the ground.
“It’s all about working hard and following through,” he said.
Boylan-Smith plans on a short break during Christmas before jetting to Europe for a tour in the new year.
With stopovers in Norway and France planned, Boylan-Smith also plans on producing more music in 2016 with friend and former Tea Party band member Jeff Martin.
“I hope to get back up to Jeff’s studio in Byron and do some more work with him soon,” he said.
“I have had a big year playing a lot of gigs and now want to do some more writing and recording.
“Hopefully I can bring the new material back to Vanfest next year!”
