Emergency services were notified of the crash just before 2pm and were immediately dispatched to a rural property on Gundong Road, Obley, 25 kilometres south of Dubbo.

Upon arrival to the scene, emergency services discovered the flaming wreckage of the aircraft.

Closer inspection revealed one man, already deceased, inside the wreckage.

Police from Dubbo Local Area Command are at the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
