Spa owner Karla McDiarmid said Macquarie Medi Spa was the only salon outside Sydney to have HydraFacial (TM).
The specialised equipment was installed earlier this month.
Karla first saw the technology while overseas two years ago and knew immediately it was something she wanted in her salon, but she was unable to source it until it was released in the Australian market.
She said what sets HydraFacial apart is its technology, which delivers instantly noticeable improvement with less treatment time.
She said it was a non invasive, non surgical procedure that delivered instants results through its cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and hydration, including a Vortex-Fusion® of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid.
“I call it the Ferrari of all facials. There is absolutely nothing like it,” Karla said.
She said it was the vortex technology that sets it apart from other technology.
“I saw it at a beauty expo in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. At that stage it wasn’t available in Australia, but as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it,” she said.
“I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to bring this to Bathurst.”
As a skin specialist, Karla said it was her job to provide the best skin care available and, while the machine cost a small fortune, she said it was an investment she was happy to make.
“I’ve been in business for 15 years this year, so it was my little present,” she said.
“This is the best clean you’ll ever get, I’ve looked at other treatments and there is really nothing like it.
“I had a client come in last week for a facial and she just looked beautiful afterwards; it was like her skin had been airbrushed.
“This is not just about putting products on your face. This system changes everything.
“We are absolutely passionate about skin so it made sense [to have the best].”
