Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel will partner with Brand Orange for a month of activities including wine masterclasses and the annual Taste Orange Food and Wine Festival on May 22 at Robertson Park, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Orange councillors praised Brand Orange last week for being a better advocate for prospective residents than Evocities and while Brand Orange marketing manager Charlotte Gundry declined to comment on Evocities itself, she said it was nice to receive endorsement.
“We’ve definitely been operating as a quasi information guide, not only for people to visit the region, but to live here, because when you go down with the food and wine as the hero, you’re also telling people what a great place we live in,” she said.
“We’re active, not just Brand Orange, but the people who come with us and there’s no better people to tell people in Sydney about how great Orange is.”
She said while Brand Orange had also participated in Canberra’s food and wine expo, Sydney was the largest and closest metropolitan market and most efforts had been focused there, including Watsons Bay, Wahroonga, Martin Place, Hyde Park and Lane Cove.
