A man has been charged with the murder of another man whose body was found in an apartment in Sydney's south, police say.

Police were called to the unit on Robertson Street in Sutherland about 2pm on Tuesday and found the body of a man. Police said that man was yet to be formally identified, but he was believed to be aged about 60.
A crime scene was set up at the apartment, and detectives formed Strike Force Carslake to investigate his death. They have not revealed how the man died.
About 3.15pm on Tuesday, police arrested a 50-year-old man and took him to Sutherland Police Station, where he was charged with one count of murder.
He was refused police bail, and is due to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday.
