Last year Theppo Brown appeared on morning show Sunrise after his dance clips came to public attention and on Friday night he will perform at the Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer.

Mr Brown said he made the videos when he was working as a brickie in Albury last year as part of Funny Friday, a concept encouraged by his boss for the end of the work week.

Now living in Manduramah and working at Orange and Bathurst the social media sensation was approached to take part in the fundraising event which has a $50,000 fundraising goal for Cancer Council NSW.

Mr Brown will perform with Stepping Out Dance Factory at the sold out event and said he also has personal reasons for taking part.

"I've witnessed people having cancer and my year advisor when I was in high school passed away not long ago from lung cancer," he said.

"My year advisor passed away last year which was a bit sad, I'm doing it for my old teacher."
