Jarryd Hayne has been pictured in Fiji rugby sevens kit for the first time in a training run with the side before this weekend's London Sevens tournament - a key warm-up for the Rio Olympics.

Hayne looked comfortable with a Summit brand rugby ball in hand, having swapped it for one of the gridiron variety, and was kitted out in "long Johns" to take the chill off the London late spring.

Although Hayne was not announced in Fiji's preliminary squad for the tournament, he can be named in the side as late as Friday.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has said he won't be chasing  the code-hopper, but says he would be happy to talk if Hayne came knocking.

Hayne is the hottest player on the open market after quitting the NFL to pursue an Olympic dream with the Fiji sevens team.

But the former rugby league Test star remains eligible to represent Australia as well as Fiji, where he qualifies through his father, former South Sydney and Manly ARL player Manoa Thompson. Hayne will lose his eligibility for the Wallabies if he competes in the London Sevens tournament in a Fiji jersey.
