3.50pm: Only one lane of the Great Western Highway is open to traffic at Mount Boyce in the Blue Mountains due to a broken down truck.
Alternating stop/slow arrangements are in place, with westbound and eastbound motorists taking turns using this lane. Motorists are advised to expect significant delays.
Heavy traffic remains on the highway after closures earlier today. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions and check before travelling this afternoon.
3.30pm: All eastbound and westbound lanes of the Great Western Highway are now open between Katoomba and Mount Victoria after being closed earlier today due to heavy snow, ice and fallen trees on the road.
The Bells Line of Road is also open in both directions between Mount Tomah and Bell.
But there is very heavy traffic through the Blue Mountains so motorists are advised to expect significant delays, allow extra travel time and drive to the conditions.
Trains remain suspended on the Blue Mountains Line between Katoomba and Lithgow due to fallen trees and there are not yet replacement buses for these services.

2.40pm: The Bells Line of Road is now open to eastbound motorists from Bell to Mount Tomah, however the road remains closed to westbound motorists as crew continue to clear the road.
The Great Western Highway also remains closed in both directions between Katoomba and Mount Victoria.

Shooters Hill Road is now open in both directions at Oberon.
1.35pm: The Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road are expected to remain closed until tomorrow morning. There is also snow and black ice on the Great Western Highway between Katoomba and Mount Victoria.
Trains also remain suspended between Katoomba and Lithgow due to fallen trees, and no replacement buses are operating due to road closures in the area. There is no forecast for when the rail line will reopen.
1.05pm: Trains have been suspended again on the Blue Mountains Line between Katoomba and Lithgow due to fallen trees as a result of heavy snowfall. Additionally bus services in the area remain suspended west of Lawson due to snow and ice on the road.
Passengers are advised to delay their journey, as roads in the area are also closed due to heavy snowfall and ice.
12:45pm: The Mid Western Highway between Blayney and Bathurst at Fitzgerald’s Mount has been closed and the road to the top of Mt Canobolas has been closed by Cabonne Council due to heavy snow
The SES are also working to free around 300 motorists who have become stranded on closed roads due to the heavy snow falls across the district.
12.25pm: Passengers are experiencing major delays on the Blue Mountains Line due to earlier signal equipment problems as a result of heavy snow and trees on the line, which shut down the train services. They have since been resumed but delays of up to 60 minutes are expected to some services.
Additionally, the Great Western Highway (between Mount Victoria and Lawson) and Bells Line of Road (at Mount Tomah) are closed in both directions.
12.05pm: Trains have been suspended on the Blue Mountains Springwood-Lithgow- due to heavy snow which has rendered signal equipment ineffective and reports of numerous fallen trees.Due to road closures no alternative travel arrangements. Passengers advised to delay travel.
11.55am: Blue Mountains police have put out a post asking people to not use the back roads to try and get around road blocks, saying people will only cause more problems for emergency services if they get stuck.
10am: Abercrombie Road in Oberon has also been closed between Little River and Abercrombie River Bridge due to snow and ice.
The highway remains open at Mount Lambie and Yetholme at this stage but drivers are being asked to exercise extreme caution when travelling on the road.
Snow has been falling in Orange and has been heavy in Oberon, Crookwell and Bowral. As much as 20 centimetres has reportedly settled on the ground in the Crookwell area early this morning.
Snow this late in the year last happened in 2009 when heavy falls were seen in November, but it is not a regular occurrence.
