It's a question an actress with children gets asked regularly on the red carpet, so we put it to Will Arnett and Stephen Amell - "How do you balance parenthood and acting?"
Arnett's ex-wife Amy Poehler and her sister in comedy, Tina Fey, are the bosses of the #AskHerMore feminist movement that calls on reporters to ask women questions that are not appearance or family focused. While the idea is ever so slowly taking hold in Hollywood, putting the same unnecessary questions to men might help put the skates on.
Devout dads - Arnett to Archie, seven, and Abel, five; and Amell to Maverick aka Mavi, two, - were in Sydney promoting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows this week, and despite the "extreme jet lag" they were in high spirits for a chilly morning sitting in a $1,190-a-night room overlooking the Opera House while on sipping coffees.
It was joke after joke from Arnett (particularly aimed at this reporter for carrying two iPhones), most loved for playing George Oscar Bluth II in Arrested Development, but when asked about how he balanced fatherhood and acting all laughs went straight out the window.
"Just like anyone else does. In any other job. We live in a time now where we take our work home with us - everybody does in every job - if you are a lawyer, you are a doctor, we have our devices, some people have two devices Amy, (you were pre-warned) so we are always in a constant state of work," he said, careful not to mention Poehler, who he split from in 2012.
"We are always trying to fit everything in our busy lives.
"My baseline is my kids, school, baseball. I coach both my sons' baseball and tee-ball teams, which is two practices, two games a week, it's a lot but that is first and everything else takes second place to that and it works."
Arrow star Amell, 35, credited Facetime with keeping in contact with his little girl, who was in New York at the time of the interview, while he was Down Under with wife Cassandra Jean Whitehead - an actor, model, and former America's Next Top Model contestant.
Touching on a time when he wasn't as busy in his career, the Toronto-born said: "This is a time where it's important to work."
Before adding, "Facetime is a real lifesaver," which Arnett, 46, shook his head to.
Acting genes
With Arnett and Poehler both successful actors, surely he can expect one of their sons to follow suit but he was not at all keen on the idea.
"Oh God," he said at first.
When pressed to elaborate he added: "No I don't think so, it's not something… ya," he trailed off.
While Amell is certainly more open to the suggestion.
"My daughter gets on the red carpet, never having been on one before, never standing in front of a big bank of photographers, and totally nails it. She was actually listening to people as they called out her name," Amell laughed.
When she had to walk by the bank of photographers for a second time, Stephen explained that she put one hand over her eyes and the other hand up as though she was implying 'no more pictures'.
"I'd say we are probably headed in that direction," he laughed again.

The family movie with a stellar line-up that also includes Megan Fox, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Laura Linney has plenty of action scenes and special effects to keep kids and comic book enthusiasts enthralled, but it's a bit too grown-up just yet for Abel and Mavi.
"My oldest guy went, my little guy hasn't, it's too intense," Arnett explained. "[Archie] loved it... He claims it's his favourite movie and not just because dear old dad is in it… I'm not that old."
While the Green Arrow star said Mavi is a "little bit too young, she's a little bit frightened of movie theatres for the time being.
"It gets dark, the sound, they spared no expense on the sound effects on this movie. I will probably show her some select scenes on this," he added.
Neither star would open up about being disappointed about not getting to kiss their on-screen love interests - super model Ambrosio for Arnett and Fox for Amell.
Both shaking their heads as they stalled, hoping the interview time would run out, Amell offered up: "[Kisses] on-set are incredibly sterile, stilted things."
Raphael always gets so mad. #TMNT2
