Undercover's Adrian Lester on how the London police overstepped the mark

Like many people, English actor Adrian Lester had taken note of the scandal that emerged in 2010 and 2011, when it was revealed that undercover officers from London's Metropolitan Police had started relationships, married, and sometimes even fathered children with female members of the protest groups they had been ordered to infiltrate. The policemen, who literally disappeared when their lengthy covert assignments finished, deceived the women they had professed to love.
