ROYAL RANDWICK – John Walter
WHO SAID IT’S EASY: Nothing went right for this two-year- old on Saturday. Far better suited up on the pace and should get further. Would love to see him rolling on speed over 1400m next time out.
FIGTREE: Not exactly the type of runner to usually throw in the black book as he does require luck in his races. But on a lean day for the black book he is certainly going well enough to win. With a positive jockey change he can run very well next time out.
FLEMINGTON – Darren Potter
GALAXY RAIDER: Craig Newitt lost many lengths trying to get wider on the track than need be. Would’ve won clearly had he stayed on Lady Selkirk’s back.
BY THE GRACE: His form is building strongly and is set to peak at the Flemington 1600m next start.
MORPHETTVILLE – Aaron Barby
MISS JOOLIA: Came widest in straight from second last on the turn and hit the line
best in the fastest last 600m of the day. The bias also was against her – those on the
leader’s back won four out seven flat races plus a second.
TORCIDA: Sat in the death seat first up on an above average tempo and was left a
sitting shot. Will be fitter next time and likely to find a weaker maiden than the one he
contested on Saturday.
