Part of the younger crop who made the trip was 18-year-old Terrey Hills rider Cameron Bullen.
It was a great weekend for Bullen on his 1987 Honda CR500 as he finished the winner in all four races he contested.
“I’ve had my CR500 for four years now. When I bought it, it came pretty much as a box of parts. I painted it and restored it to race spec over six months,” Bullen said
“Building it is all part of the experience. If you don’t enjoy building it then you can’t enjoy the racing.
“I enjoy this series because everyone is so passionate about it.
“I’ve raced at Bathurst since I was 12 years old. It’s a good track. It’s probably one of my favourites, actually. The rain put the track in prime condition too. It was great to race on.”
The Heaven Vintage Motocross Series sees riders race on motorbikes made from the 1960s through to the 80s.
