The Bathurst community would be well aware that Hayley was badly hurt when she fell from her horse during an equestrian event at St Stanislaus’ College in March.
A Helping Hand For Hayley from 6pm on Saturday, July 8 will be a fun night for the whole family. Proceeds from all meals on the night will be donated and there will be a massive auction including sporting memorabilia, holidays and food and wine packs.

BOGGED DOWN
REPORTS of four farm vehicles being bogged at the one site provide us with a scene that would raise any farmers blood pressure.
I’m told that the farm truck was the first to need a rescue, followed by a 4WD ute, then the neighbours Fergie and lastly the 2WD tractor.
After much blame and ill temper, a council grader came to the family’s aid and matters returned to normal.
This event happened well to our north west but it makes us all fairly careful of where we drive during an old-fashioned Bathurst winter.
PLAY IT SAFE
INCLUDED in the recent state budget papers is an amount of several million dollars to assist farmers to obtain safety items for all terrain vehicles and side-by-side machines that are used for farm operations.
Rider helmets and rollover safety bars would be at the top of these lists and a cap of $500 per farm is suggested in the legislation.
These incentives won’t last for long and farmers are urged to contact their motorcycle supplier ASAP or local NSW Farmers branch chairman Nino di Falco for full particulars.
