Jared Joseph Casno, 42, of Devonshire Lane Bathurst appeared before magistrate Michael Allen in Bathurst Local Court on June 20, facing two counts of contravening an AVO.
He also appeared on a charge of common assault relating to an incident which occurred on April 18, where he grabbed the victim.
The court heard how Casno left letters at the victim's house; the first on the dining room table told how Casno still loved the victim and his “heart was torn with regret with loss.”
The second letter, which the victim found in her bible carried similar sentiments.
The victim told police the letters had “creeped her out” and made her “feel nervous and scared to be in her own house."
The court also heard on April 25 this year the victim was walking in William Street when she heard Casno saying her name, before apologising to her “for what had happened”, she told him to stay away from her.
He then asked her to drop the AVO against him because he works with people with brain injuries and said his job may be jeopardised if she didn’t.
Mr Allen convicted Casno on all three matters; for contravening the AVO he was convicted and placed on a Section 9 Bond for 12 months, the second matter was dealt with under Section 10A.
On the common assault charge, Casno was convicted and placed on a Section 9 Bond for 12 months.
