BATHURST had strong representation in Western Conference teams in the recent ACT Hockey Carnival but it was the under 11s girls divisions where the city’s juniors left their biggest mark.

Of the 25 Bathurst players chosen to compete for Western, 10 of them would represent that age group.
Division one Western 11s picked up third place at the carnival and their division two counterparts took out their title.
“It was great to be able to see them all play together with Western Conference. Some also went on to PSSA where they were able to meet more kids,” under 11s Bathurst manager Kim Fitzpatrick said.
“Bathurst went through undefeated at the Western Conference Carnival. It was great to see so many of them selected after that.”
The Bathurst members (pictured) included Millie (under 13s) and Macey Fulton, Bri Weal, Zahra Grant, Charlie Fitzpatrick, Georgia Milligan, Charlotte Cooper, Emily Weal and Kassie Hurst (Absent: Paige Cooke and Maddison Gibbs).
