The Kelso High School circus ensemble came dressed as Christmas in July, sporting everything from penguin and snowman costumes to items right out of Mrs Claus’ wardrobe.
Coordinator Stephanie Brown said it was a one-night-only performance for the students, who hadn’t been able to perform publicly since returning from tour at the end of April.
“We’re doing street theatre with some performances and we’ve got our aerial rig here, too,” she said.
“It is the only chance we get to get our aerial rig out, at events like this.”
Students interacted with members of the community, showcasing their rollerblading, juggling, acrobatic and trapeze skills.
Year 9 student Kathleen Murphy said she loved the chance to return to the Bathurst Winter Festival.
“It is really different from last year because it is such a different theme and we’ve got so much more happening,” she said.
