Thousands of people are expected to flock to Bathurst’s central business district for the huge event, which is part of the 15-day Bathurst Winter Festival.
The family-friendly event will centre around the ice-skating rink on Russell Street, with ice hockey demonstrations on at 6pm and 8pm.
Groove to the beats at the silent disco in the Bathurst Court House forecourt or take a ride on the giant ferris wheel.
Bathurst Regional Council mayor Gary Rush said last Saturday’s festival attracted 10,000 people, and he expects Brew and Bite to draw another large crowd.
“We will have a new line-up of food vendors on site with a distinct street food feel and a focus on barbecuing,” he said.
“Entertainment includes fire twirlers, a pop-up bar stocked with regional wine, cider and beer and an ice bar serving locally produced sparkling wine.
“There will also be 13 artisan market stall holders selling a range of products from custom-made jewellery to hats and scarves, women’s clothing, candles, handmade chocolates, wood work and second hand records.”
Illuminations will again light up a number of CBD buildings and are on nightly from dusk during the entire winter festival.
For those keen for a skate, Cr Rush urged people to book early with tickets just $5 for children aged under 13, and $10 tickets for people 14 years and older.
The giant ferris wheel will operate until 9pm during the street party, tickets are $5 each.
Live entertainment will run during the event with Niamh McLean, Will Armstrong, Razed in Flames and Benny on the main stage, buskers in Ribbon Gang Lane and an interactive piano lighting installation.
For those with food on their mind, there will be many options to tempt the tastebuds along with a range of regional wines, craft beers, ciders and bubbly.
