A decision from the CWAFL on Thursday scuppered that notion, with the entire round called off due to the wet venues.
The Giants proved three weeks ago that they can play wet weather football, having pushed the Bathurst Bushrangers Rebels all the way in a meeting at George Park.
They were hoping to get another opportunity in similar circumstances against the struggling Tigers with a strong squad named, having been forced to forfeit against Parkes last weekend due to low numbers.
“In the games against the Rebels and Outlaws we were able to get players behind the ball and restrict them but we were kicking out of defence and turning it over,” coach Mark Kennedy said.
“This week we had Leigh Kingwell, Simon Vistarini, and Darren Nelson rotating with James Kennedy into the ruck giving us more targets to kick to up forward. Now we won’t get the chance.”
