This year is probably going to be one of the biggest ones yet.
- Ben Hagney of St Pat's Rugby League Club
The annual Blue and White Ball is the club’s biggest social event of the year.
O’Meley - who played more than 100 games for the Bulldogs during his NRL career, as well as playing for NSW and Australia – will play a one-off game for St Pat’s against Blayney at Carrington Park on Saturday, July 23.
He will then be a guest at the ball, to be held upstairs at the Panorama Bathurst, that night.
He will also be interviewed during the evening.
Organising spokesman Ben Hagney said comedy stage hypnotist Bill Wheeler will be providing entertainment.
There will also be a band, Don’t Call Me Shirley, and a DJ will provide music downstairs after midnight.
“It’s our biggest night of the year,” Mr Hagney said.
“We usually get about 200 people.”
The dress for the evening is cocktail and bookings are being taken for tables of 10 or 12.
“This year is probably going to be one of the biggest ones yet,” Mr Hagney said.
Table bookings close early next week.
