The 26-year-old graduated from the Royal Military College-Duntroon (RMC-D), where the Army prepares its world-class troops for any challenge that may come their way.
Lt Connor arrived at RMC-D as a graduate of the Bachelors Degree in Science (Exercise Science) at the University of Wollongong.
He said he found training for the Army a tough challenge, but he is proud of following it through and graduating.
“I have always wanted to serve my country and do my part to protect it. My training at RMC has equipped me with the ability to take on whatever challenge is thrown at me,” Lt Connor said.
“It’s developed my leadership abilities, built my confidence, and taught me how to motivate others as well as myself when times get really tough.
“It (RMC-D) was way harder than I ever imaged. But making it through to other side, graduating and becoming a Lieutenant, I have a sense great pride in myself.”
Commanding Officer RMC-D, Lieutenant Colonel Micah Batt said those who graduated will follow in the footsteps of generations of leaders who’ve had both successful military and civilian careers.
“Our past graduates include State Governors, strategists, television personalities, politicians and Heads of Government Departments,” he said.
