Council web communications officer Sue Cady said the annual event was a great opportunity for staff to come together.
“Current and previous employees come together for a social gathering to get to know each other with the common interest of working for council,” she said.
“The night starting with each employee introducing themselves and telling the group the best thing about working for council.”
A game of workplace bingo was played after dinner which gave an insight into the 12 women who attended.
“The night was filled with laughter and good times as people moved places to talk to women they didn't know,” Ms Cady said.
“The evening ended with the drawing of the lucky door prizes. We had gathered so many that some people went home with two.”
