Therese Ann Dwyer, 32 of Payne Close in Kelso, appeared before magistrate Michael Allen in Bathurst Local Court on June 27.
The court heard on May 27 this year, Dwyer was at home with the victim, who one week earlier had applied for and was granted an apprehended domestic violence order against Dwyer.
During the evening, the victim noticed Dwyer’s behaviour was becoming increasingly erratic; and Dwyer left the house for one hour before returning.
The victim noticed her behaviour was becoming out of control, with Dwyer starting to throw things around the house; at one point she had a small bread and butter knife which she was waving around.
When police arrived at 1am, Dwyer was erratic and aggressive; she was scratching at her body and her pupils were dilated.
Police formed the opinion she was under the influence of a drug, as her behaviour swung between depressive and aggressive.
When police asked about the scratches on her hands she told them they were from her cats.
Police arrested and handcuffed Dwyer, before searching her room where they found drug paraphernalia including foils, lights, syringes and a small plate with 2.7 grams of cannabis on it.
For contravening the restriction on an apprehended violence order, Dwyer was convicted and placed on a Section 9 Bond for 16 months.
For the possession of a prohibited drug, she was convicted and fined $300, with Mr Allen also ordering the drugs to be destroyed.
